Euphorbia pulcherrima, or Christmas poinsettias, are defined as, “the most beautiful Euphorbia.” Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, gifted these Christmas flowers to America in 1828 giving it that name as homage for his gift. Basically his last name gave birth to the plant’s name. Many people think that these plants come only in red color. But you also get them in white color, yellow color, and pink color and in various other color combinations. You can easily order holiday flowers online. Usually the average height of the potted plant is around 2 feet, not including the container.
